How to activate your faith in your working

We spend approximately 70,000 hours in paid or unpaid work in our lifetime. What does the Bible have to say about the activity that takes up the majority of our waking hours? This course will provide an outline of the biblical narrative of work—paid and unpaid—collated under some common themes which also give us some ideas about how we can activate our faith in our work: be creative, hold back sin, join Jesus in redeeming your workplace and build for the New Creation. Come along and develop a new imagination for how you can partner with the work God is doing in the world, through your ordinary work.

Session one: Be creative

Session two: Hold back sin

Session three: Join Jesus in redeeming your workplace

Session four: Build for the new creation

Dates: Tuesday 8, 15, 22, 29 October, 7.30-9pm
